Hockey / NHL / Skate with the Greats New York Rangers
The 15th Annual New York Rangers "Skate with the Greats" event to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of New York will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28th, 2010 at Rockefeller Center. In celebration of his induction into the NHL Hall of Fame, Rangers legend Brian Leetch will be the guest of honor for this year’s event, which will include ice skating, dinner and autographs in a quintessential New York setting.
Since 1994, the New York Rangers and Ronald McDonald House have teamed together to raise funds to support families of children with cancer. The “Skate with the Greats” event has helped to raise more than $6 million for the Ronald McDonald House of New York, whose mission is to provide a home away from home for children undergoing active treatment.
The Ronald McDonald House of New York is supported in part by the Rangers and is a partner of the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit charity that works closely with the New York Rangers and all areas of Madison Square Garden to make dreams come true for children in crisis.
