Jason Nissen is a New York-based executive in the ticket brokerage and hospitality sector. With over 25 years of experience, Nissen has worked at an international level marketing, pricing, selling, and conducting events across a number of industries including sporting events, concerts, and Broadway shows. An entrepreneur with his finger on the pulse of the entertainment world, Nissen has become known as a leader within the industry who can build teams and drive results.
Nissen's event experience includes the Super Bowl, Final Four, all four major tennis tournaments including the U.S. Open and Wimbledon, the World Cup, the Olympics, the Kentucky Derby, The Masters, Coachella, and Hamilton on Broadway amongst others. He is currently an officer for The Ultimate Fan in this capacity.
For over a decade, Jason Nissen was the chief executive officer for National Events Company, a ticketing brokerage company based out of New York. In that time, he built the company into an international organization, staffing 38 employees and generating revenues of $80 million annually. As head of the business, Nissen led a team that negotiated and purchased approximately 160,000 tickets per year to events across the globe. These tickets were sold on the internet to individuals, Fortune 500 companies, and the top concierges around the world.
In that time, Nissen also served as chief executive officer for World Events Group, a hospitality company operating at a global scale. The business held corporate partnership deals with professional sports teams and organizations in the United States and abroad, constructing deals to execute hospitality events surrounding their team's games for their fans and other corporate partners.
Providing individuals and corporations with white glove door-to-door-service, the company would collaborate with NFL teams to create fan travel programs revolving around the away games or even the Super Bowl. The packages would include hotel accommodations, travel to and from the game, tailgate parties, and celebrity and player meet and greets in addition to tickets to the events themselves. They have also run corporate sponsor trips for NFL teams and corporations in the same capacity.
Nissen has also served as CEO of the Minus Zero Music Festival, a one-of-a-kind Electronic Dance Music (EDM) festival that brought together world-renowned DJs performing for thousands of attendees alongside skiing and snowboarding events. Amongst other responsibilities, Nissen organized and managed the online system for marketing and ticket sales for the festival as well as its official merchandise. He also managed the safe construction of the entertainment space for the performers and attendees. In 2024, Nissen intends to reboot the festival with a new name.
Nissen was born in Brooklyn, New York where he attended South Shore High School. An All-Brooklyn football player, he was a wide receiver and won the Scholar Athlete Award for NYC distributed by the Heisman Trophy Association. He also won the NYC Science Fair, and went to the International Science Fair with his math project "Multi-Dimensional Spiral Sequences"
After graduating high school, Nissen went on to attend Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. There, he was captain of the school’s football team where in 1993 he set the record for receptions, and currently remains third in the school’s history. He was also social chair for the Delta Upsilon fraternity. He graduated from the university with a bachelor of science in mathematics and a minor in economics.
Nissen is married with three daughters, and lives on Long Island in Roslyn Heights, New York.
